It’s the music
that made her move to Nice one fine day in 2001.
Märta started playing doublebass at the age of 14, taking lessons in classical
music and later on in jazz at the jazzschool of Zurich.
She played with classical orchestras like the 'Jugend Sinfonie
Orchester' and with several bands jazz, folk, rock'a'billy and pop,
of which to point out the swing trio 'Fit asa Flea',
Gabriel Anfosso
and the 'Boogiemen' and 'Mixita'
(afro-cuban music played by lady musicians).
She created the duo 'OléA' as a singer/doublebassplayer
and the trio MANDARINE 'tutti
frutti jazz'n'pop’!
With the Gypsy Queens she was performing in Monte Carlo, Moscow, Rom and England.
